Museum Launch

The Partition Museum and Cultural Hub, Dara Shukoh Library, was inaugurated on International Museum Day (May 18th), at 6 pm. The Chief Guest, Honourable Minister of Art, Culture, and Languages for the Government of N.C.T of Delhi, Ms. Atishi, inaugurated the event, accompanied by Chair Arts and Cultural Heritage Trust Kishwar Desai. The event was attended by key individuals involved in the project, including the Director, Trustees of the Arts and Cultural Heritage Trust, as well as donors and collaborators.

The event began with a walkthrough of the Partition Museum by Kishwar Desai, Chair of TAACHT. This was followed by speeches from Ms. Atishi, Dipali Khanna (TAACHT), and heartfelt testimonies from Partition survivors, Ashok Talwar and Gulshan Nanda, who shared their precious memories in support of the museum.

The evening closed with a performance titled “Shahjahanabad,” a drama choreographed to music and poetry by Rene Singh, Lokesh Jain and the musicians.
